Description:
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), invites qualified firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the provision of consultancy services to conduct Mid-Term Reviews (MTRs) and Terminal Reviews (TRs) of climate change mitigation and transparency projects.The requirement is part of UNEP's Climate Change Division, GEF Climate Mitigation Unit, which manages a portfolio of medium- and full-sized GEF-funded climate change mitigation projects across the Global South. The objective of these reviews is to assess project performance in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, impact, and sustainability, and to capture lessons learned to strengthen accountability and inform future project design and implementation.The contractor(s) selected through the process will be engaged under a Systems Contract to undertake reviews of multiple projects over a three-year period, with a possible extension of two years. The reviews will be conducted using UNEP/GEF review methodologies and will include participatory approaches involving close consultation with project stakeholders.
