General Procurement Notice for Labé Road Construction Project - Mali (107 Km) - Gin 1019 Project 2. This project is part of a 1,151 km corridor linking the two capitals, Dakar in Senegal to Conakry in Guinea through the Labé-Mali-Kédougou road corridor. The corridor extends over 599 km in Senegal, while inside Guinea, only 374 km (from Conakry to Labé) is paved over 552 km of road. The remaining unpaved section is 178 km long between Labé - Mali - the border with Senegal (RN8). Aligned with the strategic direction of improving this corridor, which is located in this area highly endowed with natural resources, the project's general objectives are the development of transport infrastructure by facilitating physical access for the rural population, in particular women, youth and vulnerable groups, markets, health, education and social protection services. At the same time, the project aims to improve national integration by reducing Guinea's internal isolation and enhancing economic and trade opportunities. 3. Description of the project The project comprises three lots: • Lot 1: Labé - Sarékaly (38 km), • Lot 2: Sarékaly - Yembéring (31 km) and • Lot 3: Yembéring - Mali (38 km). The project is divided into two phases in relation to the lots referenced above. Phase 1 for the 2021 financing (AWP 2021) will concern two lots (Lot 1: Labé- Sarékaly and Lot 2: Sarékaly- Yembéring) and phase 2 for the 2022 financing (AWP 2022) will concern lot 3 (Yembering- Mali). The project comprises the following five (05) components: - Component 1 (Civil engineering works) comprises two sub-components: • Sub-component 1 : Construction of the 107 km road section between the prefecture of Labé and the prefecture of Mali , to ECOWAS standards (pavement: 7 m and shoulders of 2xl.5 m) with a pavement structure composed of a foundation layer of 20 cm thick lateritic or litho-stabilization gravel, a 20 cm thick base layer of crushed gravel and a 6 cm thick bituminous concrete coating.
